Tex Philosophy Tex's music and stories are designed to stimulate creativity and imagination. His stories, folktales, and songs contain lessons with tradition and social relevance. Within the humor, irony, and fantasy of Tex's songs and stories are many lessons designed to teach a child to become a responsible and capable adult with qualities such as tolerance, civility, co-operation, and compassion. Lessons learned using laughter and creativity are better retained than ones learned by dry lecture. It's fun to learn using poems, stories, jingles, and songs. Remember the ABC song? The greatest lesson a teacher can teach is joy. Joy is contagious and fosters the development of the above mentioned qualities. |
